Does a kidney ultrasound also include the adrenal glands?

Adrenal glands are much much smaller in adults than they are in babies, and they blend in with the surrounding tissue, so unless there is a problem with them they are not seen on renal ultrasounds on adults. Usually, adrenal issues are found by doing blood work and testing the hormone levels.
