My ferret's tail is starting to lose hair, also, his skin is red. is this a sign of adrenal disease?

though, it is shedding season, his skin has never turned red and his fur has never fallen out so much. could this be adrenal disease? if so, where can i get the medicine, lupron, to treat it?
