How long should i wait after surgery to have my belly button pierced?

i had adrenal surgery 2 months ago. the stitches are done inside and apparently they should dissolve completely within 3 months after the surgery. I really want my belly button pierced for when i go on holiday in 6 weeks, but i dont know whether i should wait a bit longer to get it done or not...
