Ferret loosing a lot of fur?

Hormonal reasons are the main causes of hair loss in the ferret, especially on the tail. Is she spayed? If not, have it done PRONTO. I have seen some ferrets lose tail fur seasonally then grow it back, but that is strange for this time of year. Best to have an endocrine panel done.
