The neurotransmitters released by the adrenal medula are : …………………..and ………………………….?

Epinephrine and Norepinephrine, aka adrenaline. The adrenal medulla is in the middle of the adrenal gland which sits on your kidney. It is neural tissue and an important part of the sympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system is known as the "fight or flight" branch that is why it releases adrenaline. Since the neurotransmitter is released into the blood stream they should technically be called hormones.
