My doctor says I have a tumor on my left adrenal gland. Is his left my right?

I have pain on my right side around the kidney area, so now I am wondering if the tumor is on my right side, which is the doctor's left if he is facing me. I've tried finding the answer using search engines, but have had no luck! Thanks.
